Kottayam District Associations of Kuwait (KDAK) serves as a unifying anchor for community and cultural welfare, representing all Five Taluks of Kottayam District.
It comprises Alumni Associations and Organizations of Kottayam natives residing in Kuwait, fostering Unity, Heritage, and Social Engagement.
KDAK is a vibrant, community-based organizations formed primarily by the fraternity of Kottayam district Malayalis who are expatriates residing in Kuwait. Their core purpose is to foster a sense of belonging and preserve cultural heritage among people hailing from the same home district.

1. Cultural Preservation: Organizing traditional festivals (like Onam), art forms, music, and sports events.
2. Social Bonding: Facilitating networking, social gatherings, and mutual support for members.
3. Charity & Welfare: Providing aid during crises, supporting educational initiatives, and conducting charitable projects back in their home district.
4. Information Hub: Sharing news, opportunities, and resources relevant to the community and acts like a bridge between the expats and the Indian Embassy in Kuwait.
While distinct from broader Kerala associations or NRI forums, KDAK offers a deeper connection to shared local roots, traditions, and dialects. They play an indispensable role in combating homesickness, maintaining cultural identity, and building solidarity among dispersed Malayalis, serving as a vital "home away from home" focused on their specific district's heritage.
